Bucks County Couple Sentenced for Human Trafficking
Two Romanian nationals who operated two massage parlors in Morrisville and Warminster, were sentenced August 31 to serve three to 10 years each in state prison. Vladimir Rytsar, 56, and wife Galina Rytsar, 53, pled guilty in February to six felony charges, including human trafficking, promoting prostitution and conspiracy.
Their operations centered around prostitution involving women they recruited through online advertisements. Most of the women were recent immigrants, poor and/or struggling with addiction, said Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Schorn. Five women worked in the business at the time of the Rytsars’ arrests in July, 2015. The couple had already been convicted of similar offenses in New Jersey when they were arrested in Pennsylvania. They continued to recruit women and run their Bucks County massage parlors even after police had served them with search warrants.
In addition to their state prison sentences, Common Pleas Court Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. imposed a concurrent 10 years of probation. Federal immigration officials might also deport them. (Source: BucksCounty.org)
