HHS Dept. Offers Sept. SOAR Training for Health Care, Social Service Providers

The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are offering “Stop. Observe. Ask. Respond” human trafficking training through September for health care providers, social workers, public health professionals and behavioral health providers. Designed in 2014 by the HHS Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Office on Women’s Health (OWH), SOAR helps health-care and allied professionals recognize signs of human trafficking in victims and identify and help potential victims. SOAR training is now offered both as online virtual training and in-person. In-person sessions are currently scheduled for Oakland, CA; Chicago, IL; and El Paso, TX. For more information, visit
